Many athletes will have heard this phrase in their sport - it's one way for a coach to mention hand-eye or foot-eye coordination. Similarly, reaction time is an important component of sports performance, whether it is reacting to the starting pistol for races or adjusting to an opponent's movement in soccer or basketball. Both coordination and reaction time are things we can improve. Here are some sources and games to work on improving coordination and reaction time in sport:

This excellent game involves a chair, different colors of socks, and a partner to toss those socks to you from over your shoulder. Your partner tosses two sets of socks of different colors and tells you which color you should catch. This game works on reaction time and decision-making based on visual and verbal cues, from Deante Battle (American Football).
If you have three tennis balls and a desire to improve your reaction skills, these three drills could be helpful. Try juggling, wall ball, and three ball pick up. Especially great for infielders.
